LED vs. Halogen Comparison
Going “green” is becoming increasingly important in our culture and environment. LED lighting is an environmentally friendly alternative to other methods of light. For example a 164' yacht typically uses 15-18KW for lighting. Considering that 90% to 95% of the energy is used to emit infrared frequencies (heat), the total energy consumption (inclusive of related air-conditioning) would be well over 30KW.
The same installation done with Cantalupi’s eco-friendly, LED lights would use around 6KW. A saving of 24KW/hour, that is about 2.4 gallons of diesel an hour. And for the planet conscious ones, almost 15 pounds of CO2 an hour less.
